Resolutions...yay or nay?


In the middle of reading "The Happiness Project" by Gretchen Rubin and it has me thinking about resolutions...why do we make and subsequently break them? 

Usually it's either because they are too general (not specific enough) and most often, unrealistic!! They are set up for failure!! 

There are many theories about setting goals that are relevant to setting resolutions...one just has to google "goal setting" and be overwhelmed with all of the theories and methods out there. My advice? 1. BE REALISTIC!! You are not going to lose 30 lbs in one week/month and have it stay off!! And 2. Break it down into smaller goals that are specific and can be done within your schedule, however busy it may be. 

I will post my resolutions on NYE then break each one down by month and "bites" that I can handle at a time!!
