This week ahead...
WOW!! We are already at the last week of September!! Where has the year gone?
On that note, I am grateful for being here another week!! Thank you God!!
Soooo this week is kind of up in the air...besides my workouts, blogposts and coffee date with friends and hubby, nothing else is certain. Hoping for some interviews (and I don't even like them that much, lol), but otherwise, modus operendus!!
"20 things I love about me" challenge
First, I want to thank and tag fellow blogger Moany Mouse for inspiring me to do this...thank-you!! This comes at a very necessary time!!
So here goes...
1. I love that I am in my forties, I feel so much more grounded at this age (even if I'm not always, lol).
2. I love that I am back to taking better care of my body overall.
3. I love that I have amazing friends and an awesome family.
4. I love that I was able to snatch the most amazing husband...sorry girls, he's mine!!
5. I love that I am imperfect. Perfect is so blasé.
6. I love my feet...they have carried this body many places...far and not so far.
7. I love that I have a flare for design, albeit quirky at times.
8. I love that I actually made it to 8...is that cheating?
9. I also love that as I get older I care less about what others think about me...if they don't like me, that's their business and their loss, frankly.
10. I love that I am frank in my thinking, lol.
11. I love that I went back to school as a "mature student" and smashed all of the challenges I faced by getting a BBA in Accounting AND made the Dean's Honour List to boot!!
12. I love that I am Canadian!!
13. I love that I am generally happy to be a homebody, but not a house Frau forever lol!!
14. I love that I am starting to get back into running again, even if my body isn't.
15. I love that I am a pretty darn good cook.
16. I love that I am a loving and caring person.
17. I love that I am curvy.
18. I love that I am a total fashion geek.
19. I love that I am totally happy being silly.
20. I love that I am a beautifully imperfect, silly fashion geek that loves to blog about her geeky fashion and beauty obsessions!!!
Ha!! There I did it!! I made it to twenty!! I DOUBLE DOG DARE YA TO DO THE SAME!!! #selfloverevolution y'all!!!

Confessions of a shopaholic post #1
So here goes...I have been shopping online lately like there's no tomorrow!! Trouble is, I am still unemployed, not making any money from my blog to pay for it yet, and Visa is getting richer off the interest charges!! Yikes!!! What the heck is wrong with me?!!!! I am trying hard so far to NOT shop today since I have purchased items everyday for the last four days!!! I have been reflecting on why I am doing this...what hole am I trying to fill by shopping? I am happy, so sadness isn't the reason. It's kinda weird but ever since I decided to go with a capsule wardrobe concept, I have been shopping like a fiend!!! The total opposite of what is supposed to happen. Does the the mere thought of only using a small number of clothes make me feel like I have no clothes even though I know I have way too much? Or is it the thought of getting rid of clothes each month throwing my shopping bug into overdrive? That may be what it is!! OMG!! I think I may have discovered the underlying issue to my crazy shopping splurges lately!!

So I am in love with this Tea Tree Water toner from Lush. $22.95 CAD for 250ml. May be more expensive than the average toner but, it's natural and ethically sourced and I like that.
